About the Event
Date: Thursday, March 27, 2025
Time: Vendor Check-in/Set-Up: 8am; Expo Floor Open: 9am-1pm
Location: Pine Tree High School Pirate Center (1005 W. Fairmont)
Purpose: The Pine Tree High School Career and College Expo is a dynamic event designed to empower our juniors and seniors by connecting them with a variety of career pathways, higher education opportunities, and potential employers. This annual event provides students with:
Insight into local industries and career opportunities.
Access to college and trade school representatives to explore post-secondary education options.
Opportunities to engage with businesses offering internships and entry-level positions.
The Expo bridges the gap between education and the workforce, enabling students to make informed decisions about their futures while allowing organizations to invest in and shape the next generation of professionals.
Target Audience: 11th-12th graders will primarily participate in the expo. Pine Tree ISD has over 500 total juniors and seniors enrolled.
Higher Education Institutions: Trade schools, colleges, and universities are invited to attend the Career and College expo.
Target Industries: We are recruiting local businesses and higher education institutions that offer part-time employment, full-time employment (for graduates), high school senior internships, and summer employment that is entry-level. Small businesses that don't necessarily have job openings are welcome to participate and spread awareness about the industry.
Internships: Juniors may be interested in part-time employment or internships to participate in this summer and/or next school year. Businesses are encouraged to advertise these internship opportunities at the expo.
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch will be provided for all participating businesses and community members
